A former Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly, Senator Florence Ita-Giwa has pleaded with Nigerian youths to desist from the looting of properties in Calabar.

In a video uploaded on Saturday, Ita-Giwa was seen on her knees as she admitted that the leaders have failed the youths.

“Please my children, we are not oblivious of the fact that we have failed and wrong you, your country Nigeria has failed you, the elders have failed you but please stop the violence,” she said.

There have been reports of looting across the country after the #ENdSARS protest against police brutality was hijacked by hoodlums following the attack of protesters in Lagos by Soldiers.

A number of warehouses storing hoarded COVID-19 palliative and food supplements have been looted by residents in the state and others states in the country.

The looting has since graduated from warehouses to private properties, including homes of politicians.
