Popular and controversial R&B singer, Robert Sylvester Kelly, known professionally as R. Kelly, has been evicted from two of his Atlanta homes.
According to reports, which cited court documents, a Feb. 13 filings with the Fulton County magistrate court show Kelly owes more than $31,000 in unpaid rents to SB Property Management Global.
The monthly rent on the property is $11,542.
According to the report, no one was home when the eviction noticed was served, and the property looked abandoned.
According to a DailyMail report, The 51-year-old R. Kelly has been downsizing due to a dip in revenue last year after last year’s allegations that he was running an abusive sex cult had an effect on his funds.
The “Down Low” singer went through a lot of bad press including reports he paid and accuser to keep her story quiet.
Kelly denied the allegations.
He was also later accused of physical abuse, sexual coercion, emotional manipulation and using starvation as a punishment by an ex-girlfriend. He also denied those claims in a statement.
Kelly, who referred to himself as the Pied Piper of R&B in most of his songs, had in a GQ’s interview said he started using the moniker when he introduced the flute into his music.
He had in 2016 told GQ,
“I started calling myself the Pied Piper when I started using the flute sound in my music; “Fiesta” and “Snake”; Step in the Name of Love [” the first of his own songs where he actually refers to himself by this name]
