A six-year-old boy, identified as Muhammad Kabir, who was killed by his abductors after ransom payment, has been laid to rest in Kaduna.
Recall that Kabir was abducted by a neighbour in Badarawa area of Kaduna State, taken to neighbouring Kano, and murdered after the abductors had collected N1m for his release.
The Kaduna State Police Command have however paraded four suspects alleged to be behind the kidnap and murder.
Spokesperson of the command, ASP Muhammad Jalige, who paraded the suspects during a press briefing on Monday, May 3, in Kaduna, said an investigation into the incident began when the boy’s father reported the matter to the Commissioner of Police.
Jalige explained that further investigation revealed that the person who orchestrated the whole abduction saga is a neighbour to the victim’s father, adding that the boy was killed because the suspect had feared that he would reveal his identity after regaining freedom.
On May 1st, 2021 the young lad was finally laid to rest.
A Facebook user, identified as Jamil Jobo Magayaki shared photos and videos from the funeral prayer of the boy.
“It’s with a heavy heart that we buried our son Muhammad Kabir Magayaki today in Kaduna. We totally condemn this inhuman, ugly and evil act, we are determined to ensure the perpetrators of this heinous act face the full wrath of the law to serve as deterrent to others inshaAllah. Continue to Rest In Peace Muhammad” he wrote.
