Senate President Bukola Saraki, on Thursday, hosted a round table on Nigeria’s Electricity Supply Industry at the Senate.
This was made known in the pictures shared on the Facebook page of Abubakar Bukola Saraki.
The Senate President said the objective of the round table was to brainstorm and find quick relief solutions for Nigeria’s retrogressing electricity supply industry in order to prevent it from collapse.
He promised that the hallowed chamber will put in place mechanisms to address the various challenges that are facing Nigeria’s electricity supply industry.
Saraki who disclosed that the process will commence with a public hearing in January, noted that it will allow the lawmakers to examine issues that border around the shortfalls in funding the power sector.
The Senate President reiterated that the electricity industry is a necessary component of Nigeria’s economic growth.
