The Former Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Ibrahim Dasuki, who died on Monday night in Abuja at the age of 93 has finally been laid to rest according to Islamic rites.
The late traditional ruler’s funeral service was scheduled to take place after Zuhr prayer in the afternoon of Tuesday at the Sultan Bello Mosque, Sokoto State.
The former Sultan, Alhaji Ibrahim Dasuki was deposed as Sultan in 1996 by the late Head of State, General Sani Abacha.
Alhaji Dasuki is the father of former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo Dasuki who is currently facing corruption charges.
