Priscilla Ojo, daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, has tied the knot with her Tanzanian partner, Juma Jux, in a grand traditional wedding held in Lagos.

The colourful event took place on Thursday, following their private customary wedding in Tanzania earlier in February.

The ceremony drew many stars from the Nigerian entertainment world, including Mercy Aigbe, Destiny Etiko and Toyin Abraham. They were seen dancing and helping out during the celebration.

One of the special guests at the wedding was legendary Juju musician, Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey, who is 83 years old. His presence excited many guests.

Priscilla looked stunning in her purple, orange, and pink outfit. She wore a long-sleeved asooke blouse with a layered skirt decorated with shiny stones and sequins. She completed the look with a purple gele and matching ipele.

Juma Jux also looked royal in a matching purple agbada, designed with gold and orange patterns. He added a royal blue cap and carried a purple staff topped with a carved map of Africa.

Clips shared online showed the couple taking part in their traditional marriage rites. The hall was decorated beautifully, giving a dreamy look to the event.

Before the Lagos ceremony, videos showed members of Jux’s family arriving Nigeria for the celebration.
In a pre-wedding interview, Jux shared his excitement: “It’s exciting — a dream come true. From the first day I met Priscilla, I knew she was an amazing soul.”

The 35-year-old added, “I knew instantly she was the one. I couldn’t wait to put a ring on her hand.”

Iyabo Ojo also expressed her joy about her daughter’s marriage: “I knew Juma was the one, seeing how international he is about family. I always hoped Priscilla would get married in her early 20s.”

Priscilla’s father, Ademidun Ojo, also attended the wedding. In a viral video, he was seen warmly greeting guests and hugging his new son-in-law, showing unity between both families.

Despite being separated, Iyabo and her former husband dressed in matching outfits and danced together, showing support for their daughter.

The wedding celebrations started with a private introduction in Tanzania. Just before Valentine’s Day, Jux proposed again with a bigger ring in a romantic moment shared online. They held a civil wedding the next day, with celebrities like Toyin Abraham, Chioma Good Hair and Enioluwa in attendance.

Jux began his music career at age 16 and became popular with songs like Sugua, Juu, and Regina. He has worked with African stars like Gyakie, Bien, Zuchu, and Marioo.

Before dating Priscilla, Jux had been in the spotlight for past relationships with Vanessa Mdee and Karen Bujulu. He confirmed his relationship with Priscilla in 2024, after posting romantic pictures on Instagram.

Now officially married in both Tanzanian and Nigerian tradition, the couple’s union is being celebrated across Africa as a modern love story.
