Officers of the Imo State police command have recorded huge success in curbing crime in the metropolis.
The state’s Commissioner of Police, Taiwo F. Lakanu, while parading over 40 suspects on October 31, reiterated the commitment of the force to rid the state of crime.
The CP said the suspects were involved in various crimes ranging from kidnapping, armed robbery, murder, unlawful possession of firearms and cultism.
He listed the items recovered from the suspects to include; five stolen vehicles, pump action guns, AK-47 riffle and live cartridges. He added that a laptop and a television set were also recovered from some of the suspects.
Lakanu urged residents to give useful information to the police in order to forestall crime in the state.
