Pictures emerged on the internet on Friday, January 27, 2017, showing scores of students of Michael Okpara University Abia State, worshipping God inside a heavy rain.
The photos were posted on Facebook by Runcie Mike, the lead Pastor at The Evening Church (TEC) International.
He wrote, “Last night under a very heavy rain @Michael Okpara University Abia State, men and women were receiving Christ, they just kept coming out as the rains continued to pour heavily, we continue tonight at The Pavilion Stadium. It’s time for the harvest.”

Since the photos surfaced online, many applauded the students for defying the heavy rain to worship their God except one Ibanga Joseph who advised the preacher to make provision for canopy or any other forms of shelter.
Pastor Runcie Mike responded, “Please how much are you giving for the construction of the Tent and canopy, can we send you the church’s account details? Else we will continue preaching both under the rain and the sun, you see God has opened your eyes to see the need for this for the futherance of the gospel, thank God for your response sir.”
