After 32 years without winning the Nigerian football league, Enugu Rangers on Sunday became champions of the Nigeria Professional Football League with a 4-0 win over El-Kanemi Warriors in Enugu.
Chisom Egbuchulam of Rangers scored a hatrick in the encounter that saw the Warriors’ goalkeeper sent off in the 90th minute. Osas Okoro scored the other goal.

Rangers, who were three points ahead of Rivers United prior to today’s match, finished the season with 63 points from 36 matches to become champions.
Meanwhile, Lagos club MFM FC escaped relegation with a 1-0 with over FC IfeanyiUbah in Agege also on Sunday.

Results from other venues saw Wolves 1-0 Ikorodu, Wikki 2-0 Sunshine, Abia Warriors 2-1 3SC, Akwa 1-2 Rivers Utd, Lobi 2-0 Nasarawa, MFM 1-0 Ifeanyiubah and Pillars 1-1 Tornadoes.
