The wife of Femi Fani-Kayode, Precious Chikwendu and her eight months old baby, Aragorn were reportedly detained by some security personnel in Access Bank, Ajilosun Branch, Ado Ekiti, on the order of the Economic and Finacial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
It was gathered that it took the intervention of Governor Ayodele Fayose before Fani-Kayode’s wife was released from detention.
The nursing mother was at the bank to withdraw money from her account, which has about N200,000 when the EFCC ordered her detention.
Governor Fayose reportedly stormed the bank and demanded her immediate release before the arrival of the EFCC operatives. The governor reportedly drove himself to the bank upon receiving news of her arrest.
It was further gathered that she was held captive even when her eight months old son was crying for food and water.
