Celebrity photographer David Martins has accused gospel singer Neon Adejo of having an inappropriate relationship with his estranged wife, Alicia Daniella, as their ongoing marital scandal continues to unfold.
Martins made the allegations on Saturday while responding to claims of domestic abuse levelled against him by Alicia, who had earlier accused him of physical, verbal and psychological abuse throughout their three-year marriage.
In a lengthy statement, Martins denied the abuse allegations and instead claimed he was the victim in the relationship. He also shared screenshots of WhatsApp conversations between Alicia and Neon, which he described as “flirty and inappropriate”.
According to the screenshots shared by Martins, Neon allegedly sent Alicia ₦150,000 and requested she send him a selfie. In the exchange, Alicia expressed concern that Neon’s wife might discover their communication.
“You I didn’t want your wife to be like why is she sending a selfie,” Alicia reportedly wrote.
Neon allegedly reassured her, saying: “She won’t even see my chats”.
In another part of the conversation, Neon reportedly told Alicia: “I want to see you”.
Martins also claimed that Neon, whom he considered a friend, had instigated Alicia to take their marital issues to blogs and even boasted that he would confront or attack Martins on Alicia’s behalf.
“I have evidence of Neon seriously flirting with Alicia and instigating Alicia to go the blogs,” Martins wrote in his statement.
Reacting to the allegations, Neon Adejo denied any wrongdoing and defended his interactions with Alicia.
“Dear Mr. Aesthetics Online, Everybody is not like you. I would never take advantage of a woman in a vulnerable state. How low is it to tell the world that you put your wife in a vulnerable state and were still being intimate with her?” Neon wrote in response.
Neon explained that he only asked for a selfie after arranging for a friend to style Alicia’s hair, and that his wife was fully aware of his limited visits to check on her welfare.
“I literally became a man responsible for two sons because I couldn’t watch a woman and a child struggle and do nothing. Shame on you for trying to manipulate this situation and paint me in a bad light. Own your actions. Seek help,” Neon added.
The accusations come after Alicia publicly accused Martins of domestic violence on August 15, 2026. She claimed she had endured abuse for years but remained silent to protect her husband’s public image.
Alicia alleged that Martins attacked her on May 7, 2026, while she was holding their three-month-old son, leaving her with a busted lip and nearly knocking out a tooth. She reported the matter to the Lagos Police Gender Unit, the US Embassy and the Canadian Embassy.
Several other women have since come forward with accusations of abuse against Martins, including allegations of sexual violence involving a minor.
However, Martins has maintained his innocence, claiming that Alicia was the aggressor in their relationship and that she was unfaithful during their marriage.
