Some eager Osun residents who have exercised their rights have been seen waiting around the polling units for the results.

The Osun elections took place in all the thirty local government areas in the southwest state with forty-eight candidates vying to succeed Governor Rauf Aregbesola.

According to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC Commissioner of the state, there are 1,687,492 registered voters in Osun and 1,246,915 collected their Permanent Voter’s Card.

The election took place in three thousand and ten (3010) polling units in three hundred and thirty-two (332) registration areas.
