A year after being rescued from bondage, Korede Francis is hale and hearty.

The recent photo of Korede Francis, a boy who was chained and starved by his father for being ‘possessed by the spirit of stealing’ emerged online recently.

The boy has developed remarkable and is no longer recognisable after being  rescued and adopted by the First Lady of Ogun State, Mrs. Olufunso Amosun.

A Facebook user, Femi Salako posted the recent photo with praises for the first lady.

Not just a pretty face, Dr. Mrs. Olufunso Amosun is a Woman after Mother Theresa’s heart.

This is Korede Francis 9-years-old of 201[6] and the current Korede Francis 10-year-old of today. The boy who was chained on his neck to die by his biological father at a Celestial Church in Ado Odo Ota Ogun State.

Korede was adopted by the wife of the Governor, Ogun state, Dr.(Mrs) Olufunso Amosun. Thank God for the kindness of Her Excellency. #UPLIFTingtheChildren #OlufunsoCareForthelittleChild #OlufunsoUPLIFTKorede #OlufunsoDemonstratingLoveFortheChildren #UPLIFTingtheVulnerableChild.

Korede’s father, Francis Taiwo, a Celestial Church of Christ pastor starved and kept the boy in chains for months, before he was arrested in August 2016.

The 40-year-old pastor was apprehended by the police from the Onipanu division at his church – CCC, Key of Joy Parish – in Ajibawo, Atan, in the Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State.

In October the wife of the Ogun State Governor, Mrs. Olufunso Amosun, took up the sponsorship of the then nine-year-old with the promise that the sponsorship would be till he graduates from the university.
