Many feared trapped as three-storey building collapses in Lagos
An unconfirmed number of people have been reportedly trapped in the rubble of a three-storey building that collapsed in the Yaba area of Lagos State.
The PUNCH reported that the building which is still under construction on Akanbi Crescent, Yaba, collapsed into another building beside it on Saturday.
At least two people, a 16-year-old boy and another adult male, have come out of the rubble, according to reports.
However, more people are suspected to remain trapped in the collapsed building.
It was reported that a part of the building had collapsed late last year, but the construction did not stop.
As of the time of filing this report, operatives of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency Response Unit have not arrived at the scene.
