Nigerian TikTok personality Peller has alleged that suspected hoodlums stole mobile phones from several guests during the Peller wedding celebration held in Lagos.
Peller made the allegation during a TikTok livestream on Monday. He said the incidents happened outside the traditional wedding venue while he and other guests celebrated inside.
The content creator, whose real name is Habeeb Hamzat, claimed that several attendees later contacted him to report that their phones had been snatched.
He said he had spent a considerable amount replacing devices belonging to some of the affected guests.
Peller blamed the incidents on the large crowd of suspected hoodlums who gathered around the venue despite not being invited to the ceremony.
“Agbero don occupy Lagos. No be small. Agbero plenty pass guests wey come to my wedding,” he said.
“People wey come say dem dey snatch their phones. Una know how many phone I don pay for?”
Peller recounts wedding theft incident
Speaking further about the Peller wedding theft, the TikTok star recalled how a female guest reportedly lost her phone shortly after reaching the entrance.
“One girl, as she reach, na so dem snatch her phone for gate. Dem run away,” he said.
Peller did not disclose how many phones were allegedly stolen or the total amount he had spent replacing them.
He also did not state whether the affected guests reported the incidents to the police.
The entertainer maintained that the suspected thieves operated outside the venue, where the large crowd made movement and security control difficult.
Road accident reported outside venue
Peller also spoke about a separate disturbance reportedly involving a vehicle and a man outside the wedding venue.
He said he was inside the hall when people began circulating claims about the incident.
According to his account, a man refused to move away from the front of a vehicle before the driver allegedly struck him.
“Me wey I dey inside hall dey do my wedding, na so them say I kill person,” Peller said.
“Agbero stay for front of car. Them say comot, he no gree. The car owner vex con jam am.”
He did not provide further details about the condition of the person reportedly involved in the accident. Authorities had also not publicly confirmed the incident at the time of the report.
White wedding limited to 100 guests
Following the disorder surrounding the traditional ceremony, Peller said his white wedding would operate under tighter security arrangements.
The event is scheduled for August 8 and will reportedly admit only 100 invited guests.
Peller said individuals without invitations would not be allowed into the venue, while security personnel would prevent crowds from gathering outside.
“No worry, my white wedding no go be like the way una do that day,” he said.
The content creator had earlier announced that the ceremony would be private and strictly by invitation.
The decision is expected to help organisers control access and avoid a repeat of the alleged thefts and disturbances recorded during the traditional wedding.
Celebrities attend Lagos ceremony
Peller and his partner, Elizabeth Amadou, popularly known as Jarvis, held their traditional wedding in Lagos on Saturday.
The ceremony, tagged #JP2026, attracted entertainers, influencers, content creators and thousands of viewers who followed updates online.
Guests included Iyabo Ojo, Zinoleesky, Priscilla Ojo, Juma Jux, Daddy Freeze, Papaya Ex, Tee Dollar and Aunty Ramota.
Fuji musician Sule Alao Malaika also performed during the celebration.
The couple received several expensive gifts, including ₦10m from socialite Cubana Chief Priest.
American TikTok personality Gregory Pizarro Jr. reportedly presented Peller with $20,000.
Real estate entrepreneur Lawrence Emmanuel also gifted the couple a plot of land in Abuja reportedly valued at ₦150m.
Businessman King Ochacho later announced a fully furnished mansion in Abuja’s Life Camp area, reportedly worth ₦400m, as another wedding gift.
Despite the lavish celebration, Peller said the alleged thefts created unexpected financial and security problems.
He maintained that stronger measures would be introduced to protect invited guests during the white wedding.
