Popular TikTok stars Habeeb Hamzat, known as Peller, and Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, known as Jarvis, are holding their white wedding today, Saturday, August 8, 2026.
The ceremony is being streamed live on Twitch and YouTube for fans who cannot attend in person.
Peller had earlier disclosed that guests at the event would be capped at between 80 and 100, a sharp cut from the scale of their traditional wedding held on August 1 .
He said the decision followed his frustration at the earlier ceremony, where he claimed several attendees bought aso-ebi fabric merely to gain entry and record the event rather than celebrate with the couple.
He added that bloggers would not be welcome at today’s ceremony, insisting on a more private setting restricted mainly to close family, friends and a select circle of industry colleagues .
Despite the disruptions at the traditional wedding, Peller maintained that the event was ultimately a success.
For fans locked out by the tighter guest list, he said the livestream would serve as the alternative, allowing supporters to follow the ceremony virtually.
The couple’s journey to the altar began when Peller proposed to Jarvis in Ghana in June, after which the pair travelled to Benin City, Edo State, where he paid her bride price and completed traditional rites with her family.
They legalised the union with a court wedding in Lagos on July 29, where both were styled by Emmanuel Goodnews Icon. Jarvis wore a Prudential off-white textured tweed mini dress with a square neckline and blue floral embroidery, while Peller arrived in a sharp off-white single-breasted suit.
Their traditional marriage ceremony in Lekki, Lagos, on August 1 drew a wave of celebrities, musicians and social media influencers, and became one of the most talked-about weddings of the year after the couple received a N400m mansion in Abuja, cash gifts and a plot of land from well-wishers.
The event also produced viral side moments, including socialite Pretty Mike’s mock medical-team entrance, where he arrived with about 20 people dressed as doctors and nurses, and a video showing a tout knocked down by a car near the venue.
The ceremony was not without controversy, as some Nigerians criticised the couple online over their age, questioning their readiness for marriage, a claim Peller and Jarvis publicly dismissed.
For their pre-wedding photos, the bride’s outfit was designed by MSOLagos and the groom’s by Maison Nwōsù.
It was against this backdrop, and Peller’s complaints about bloggers overrunning the traditional ceremony, that the couple opted for a smaller, invitation-only white wedding to close out the #JP2026 celebrations.
