In response to recent claims of the suspension of the Chairman of the Ondo State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, Mr. Fatai Adams, the National Working Committee of the party has categorically dismissed the purported suspension.

The NWC emphasized that the alleged suspension lacks validity and is not in accordance with due process.

The National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, issued a statement on Tuesday, reiterating the nullification of the suspension and cautioning party members against engaging in unauthorized actions.

“The NWC declares the said suspension null and void and of no effect, inconsistent with provisions of the Constitution of the PDP (as amended in 2017) and laid down Rules,” Ologunagba stated.

Highlighting the procedural irregularities, the statement emphasized that no State Working Committee possesses the authority to contemplate or effect the suspension of a State Chairman without adhering to the established processes outlined in the PDP Constitution.

The PDP, as a structured political party, adheres strictly to its constitution and rules, and the NWC emphasized its commitment to upholding the integrity of these guiding principles.

“The NWC cautions those involved in this illegal act in defiance of the PDP Constitution to retrace their steps, as the NWC will not hesitate to take appropriate disciplinary or punitive actions to preserve the stability of our Party and the sanctity of our Constitution and Rules,” warned the statement.

The NWC unequivocally confirmed that Adams remains the Chairman of the Ondo State Chapter of the PDP.

The committee urged all members, leaders, stakeholders, and supporters of the party to disregard the alleged suspension.
