The main opposition party in Nigeria, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has blocked the official handle of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on social networking site Twitter.
This was disclosed on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, via a tweet on the official APC handle, @APCNigeria.

As a result of the blockage, the APC Twitter handlers will not be able to follow and view PDP Nigeria’s tweets.
As at the time of writing this report, it is unknown why the opposition party took the decision to block the APC Twitter handle which has served as one of the ruling party’s main communication tools.
Meanwhile, since the news broke, Nigerians have taken to different social media platforms to comment on the development.
