The Peoples Democratic Party National Working Committee has named Mr. Ajisafe Toyese of Osun State as the National Vice Chairman for the South West region, a decision reached unanimously by the committee.

The announcement was conveyed through a statement by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Debo Ologunagba, released to the press in Abuja on Saturday.

“Mr. Toyese’s appointment was endorsed by the party’s Working Committee on behalf of the National Executive Committee (NEC), following the unfortunate passing of the former Vice Chairman for the zone, Mr. Soji Adagunodo, on May 20, 2023,” Ologunagba stated.

“The decision to appoint Toyese was ratified during the recent gathering of the South West Zonal caucus, adhering to the guidelines stipulated in Section 46 of the party’s constitution as amended in 2017,” he added.

Describing Toyese as a dedicated member, the PDP highlighted his significant contributions, including his service as a member of the 2023 Presidential Campaign Council and as the Deputy Director General of the 2023 PDP Presidential Campaign council.

With a background in law and engineering, Toyese has also held roles such as Deputy Chairman of Gov. Ademola Adeleke’s Campaign Committee and Deputy Director General of the Atiku/Okowa Campaign Committee.

“The PDP expresses confidence in Toyese’s ability to foster unity and energize the party in the South West, urging him to collaborate with other leaders to ensure the party’s continued success in the region,” Ologunagba emphasized.
