The family of Bob Marley have reimagined the music icon’s song ‘One Love’ to raise money for Unicef’s coronavirus fund.

Originally recorded in 1977 by Bob Marley and The Wailers, the new take on ‘One Love’ sees vocals from Marley’s son Stephen, daughter Cedella and grandson Skip.

It also features a host of children living in vulnerable environments and musicians from conflict zones.

Also featuring in the remake of Bob Marley’s iconic song One Love in support of UNICEF’s coronavirus response is Nigerian reggae/dancehall singer Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, better known by his stage name Patoranking.

The project is a collaboration between the Marley family and Amplified Records.

Writing in an Instagram post on Wednesday, Patoranking said the project “means a lot to me.”

Posting a video on his Instagram page he wrote:

“ONE LOVE by Bob Marley means a lot to me and to be on this new version alongside the Marley Family and others in support of @unicef’s coronavirus relief is an incredible honour. One Love featuring the King coming July 17th.”
