Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Dr Paul Enenche, has turned down a ₦30 million donation from the Governor of Kebbi State, Nasir Idris.

The pastor asked that the money be given to orphanages or other charity organisations instead.

The donation was announced during a large evangelistic crusade recently held by the church in Kebbi State. The governor, who did not attend in person, was represented by the Commissioner for Social Duties, Zayyanu Umar Aliero.

Speaking to the crowd, the commissioner said the governor was thankful for Pastor Enenche’s visit and wanted to show his appreciation with a cash donation of ₦30 million.

But Pastor Enenche, who looked surprised by the announcement, politely rejected the offer in front of the crowd. He thanked the governor for his kind gesture but explained that the church would not accept the money.

“We sincerely appreciate the gesture and the governor’s generous heart,” he said. “But we will not take this money. Please channel it instead to orphanages or any other charitable institution of your choice.”

The governor’s representative accepted the pastor’s decision and praised him for his humility and focus on the gospel.
