There was panic on Thursday morning when unknown gunmen set fire to the secretariat of Nnewi South Local Government Area in Anambra State.
It is, however, not clear if anyone died or got injured as of the time of filing this report.
Anambra State Police Command suspected that it was a ‘case of arson.’
Police spokesperson, DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, told reporters that details are ‘still sketchy.’
The spokesperson also added that more operatives had been deployed to the area and Fire Service has been contacted.
