Super Eagles-eligible midfielder David Ozoh has announced via social media that his time at Championship club Derby County has officially come to an end.
The Valencia-born youngster, who remains eligible to represent both Spain (his country of birth) and England at senior level, has recently also been linked with a possible international switch to Nigeria ahead of the 2026 Unity Cup.
Derby County wrapped up their 2025–2026 campaign on Saturday, falling just short of a play-off spot after finishing eighth in the Championship on 69 points, four behind sixth-placed Hull City.
As the club prepares to release its retained and released list following the conclusion of the season, Ozoh confirmed he will not be extending his stay at Pride Park.
In a message shared on Instagram, he wrote: “Two unforgettable years as a Ram. I’ve loved every single moment of it. I’m truly grateful for all the support and memories. This club will always hold a special place in my heart”.
The midfielder, formerly an England U18 international, spent the 2025–2026 season on a second successive loan spell with Derby after rejoining the club in July 2025. During that stint, he made 37 appearances across all competitions and scored twice.
Ozoh has been part of the Crystal Palace F.C. system since the age of eight, rising through the academy ranks before making his senior debut in the Premier League against Newcastle United F.C. in January 2023.
That appearance made him the youngest player in the club’s Premier League history at the time, a record that was later broken in December 2025 by Joél Drakes-Thomas.
