The Oyo State Government has announced it will begin a full staff audit for centrally deployed workers in line with a directive from the Federal Government.
The audit will run from Monday, July 14 to Friday, July 25, 2025. This was made known in a statement on Saturday by the Commissioner for Establishment and Training, Salihu Adelabu, in Ibadan.
According to Adelabu, the aim of the audit is to improve staff management and boost efficiency across all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies in the state.
“The staff audit exercise is scheduled to take place from Monday, July 14 to Friday, July 25, 2025,” he said. “The exercise is aimed at optimising workforce management and enhancing operational efficiency across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies.”
He explained that the move is in line with efforts by the Federal Government through the Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation to clean up staff records.
The commissioner added that the audit will help ensure accurate documentation and better record keeping for staff in the Centrally Deployed Cadres.
He said, “The proactive steps taken by the state ministry are in alignment with the Federal Government’s directive to update nominal rolls and validate officers’ information on the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System.”
Adelabu urged all MDAs to fully support the audit team to ensure the process is smooth, open, and successful.
