Nigerian midfielder, Ovie Ejaria, has officially parted ways with Sky Bet Championship club Reading, a decision reached by mutual consent.
The 26-year-old midfielder, who initially impressed during a season-long loan from Liverpool in the 2019/20 campaign before joining permanently in 2020, saw his contract set to expire at the end of the current season.
Unfortunately, injury and fitness issues have recently hindered Ejaria’s regular first-team appearances.
In light of these challenges and with the club seeking to manage expenditures, an amicable agreement was reached for the early departure of the talented midfielder.
In a statement, Reading expressed appreciation for Ejaria’s contributions to the club, stating, “We would like to thank Ovie for his contribution to Reading Football Club and wish him well for the rest of his career.”
Having left Reading by mutual consent, Ovie Ejaria is now on the lookout for a new club to reignite and further develop his professional football career.
