A soldier deployed to Maiduguri, Borno State in the fight against the terrorist group, Boko Haram, has advised the Nigerian Army to consider rotate its soldiers often.
According to a post on Depot Nigerian Army’s Facebook timeline, the soldier, whose identity was not revealed, said that overstaying in the region has dampened the morale of several soldiers hence the high death rate among them.
He said he has spent two years on the field.
The soldier noted that most of the men are tired and no longer fight the insurgents with gusto.
He pleaded with the authorities to rotate the soldiers often
