Outrage trails ejection of Nigerian embassy officials from their residence in DR Congo [Video]

A video has emerged on the internet showing officials of the Nigerian Embassy in the Democratic Republic of Congo being ejected from their official apartment by some Congolese with the support of security operatives.

The footage sparked outrage from Nigerians on micro-blogging site Twitter on Friday.

In the video, some embassy officials were seen been thrown out of the building in Kinshasa, the capital city of the country.

An embassy official who spoke with a Congolese TV, Ibim Nkem Charles stated that the building was donated to Nigeria by the Congolese government in the 1970s.

Some Nigerians who reacted to the viral video described the incident as unfortunate and called on the Nigerian government to quickly address it to save Nigeria from further international embarrassment.
