The Kabusa oriental choir group has disclosed that their first video as a group brought them limelight.

The group, which consists of four young men – Austin, Victor, Ransom and Ozoma –  is quite vibrant in the Nigerian digital space with about 225,000 followers on Instagram.

Replying the question: When you started your skits, was it a smooth ride? The Kabusa oriental choir said,

You can say that because our first video as ‘Kabusa Oriental Choir’ was what shot us to limelight. There are so many people out there who started before us and had to put out thousands of content before they were able to create that one content that launched their career. It doesn’t mean they were unlucky; it just happened for them that way.

Prior to this time, some of us had been putting out skits individually. Some were successful to an extent and some not so successful. There have been a few challenges here and there. Nevertheless, we choose not to consider the little challenges we have faced so far as anything grave.

We are blessed and grace has made our work easy for us.

The group also praised veteran producer and singer, Michael Collins Ajereh, better known as Don Jazzy, calling him “a father and a big brother to look up to in this industry”.

Don Jazzy often reposts the Kabusa Oriental Choir’s skits on social media.

The group said,

We don’t have any blood ties with Don Jazzy and we didn’t have to have any for him to show interest in us. It’s just his nature; he is known for helping people randomly without knowing them or expecting anything in return. He is one of a kind and we are blessed to have him as a father and a big brother to look up to in this industry. We keep saying that God proved his love for us by giving us Don Jazzy
