Published

The Osun State Security Network Agency, popularly known as the Amotekun Corps, has apprehended three suspected members of a gang involved in exhuming corpses and extracting body parts for ritualistic purposes.

The suspects include Kamilu Kehinde, a 43-year-old mechanic, Akeem Hamzat, a 56-year-old driver, and Wakeel Baka, a herbalist.

According to a statement released on Tuesday by the spokesperson for the Osun State Amotekun, Adeniyi Adeshola Brown, the arrest followed intelligence received by operatives of the Iwo Command.

Brown revealed that during the interrogation, the suspects confessed to engaging in the illicit business of exhuming corpses, which they later sold to buyers seeking body parts for money-making rituals.

“Akeem Hamzat was not actually one of them, but rather one Ogun, who is now at large with an exhumed body part,” Brown added.
