Osun agog for ‘Isese Day’ as state offices, Banks close shop

State government offices and Banks in Osun State were closed on Friday for the ‘Isese Day’ celebration.

WuzupNigeria reports that ‘Isese Day’ was set aside by the Osun State Government for Traditional Religion Worshipers to celebrate their deities and exhibit their religion.

A former governor of the state, Mr Rauf Aregbesola, in 2013, approved August 20 as a public holiday in the for traditional worshipers, under Section 2 (2) of the Public Holidays Act CAP P40 Laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 2010.
