Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo held a peace meeting with people of Mambila Plateau area of Taraba state on Thursday.
This was made known by his special adviser on media and publicity matters, Laolu Akande via his twitter handle.
The Vice president was hosted by the governor, Darius Ishaku when he was visited the state to commission certain project.
Osinbajo commissioned a water expansion project in Jalingo, the state capital as well a five-hectare ‘Greenhouse’ producing vegetables including 250 tonnes of tomatoes per hectare.
While speaking at the event, the vice president urged the citizens to embrace peace in order to develop the state.
” Let us preserve this State, one of the most serene places & atmosphere in the world.
“We believe Agric & Agric processing will provide a lot of jobs and FG will support States that are keen in developing the Agric sector”, Osinbajo noted.
