Ortom recovers from COVID-19
Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has recovered from the deadly COVID-19 virus one week after he was infected.
In an announcement on Wednesday, it was reported that the governor had tested negative for the virus after a recent test was carried out.
Ortom who tested positive last week was reportedly asymptomatic and was forced to self-isolate has since addressed journalists today in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.
He appreciated the people of the state, his friends and supporters across the country for their prayers during the period of self-isolation.
The governor, who has resumed duties immediately, thanked his deputy, Benson Abounu who stood in his place while he was in isolation.
Ortom urged the people of the state to adhere strictly to the COVID-19 protocols.
