The Director General of the Department of State Services, Yusuf Bichi, revealed on Saturday that the agency is set to unveil weapons crafted by its personnel.

The announcement came during the graduation ceremony of the Executive Intelligence Management Course 16 participants held in Abuja.

Director General Bichi emphasized the agency’s commitment to self-reliance, stating, “The DSS will soon begin to produce what it eats and eat what it produces.”

Among the notable weapons set to be unveiled are Unmanned Aerial Vehicles.

During the event, Bichi assured continued support for the National Institute for Security Studies, emphasizing the significance of imparting knowledge for enhanced national security.

He urged the graduates to apply their acquired skills to contribute to the country’s development and encouraged Nigerians to uphold patriotism while denouncing those he referred to as warmongers seeking to destabilize the nation.

The graduation ceremony, attended by Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima, marked the completion of the Executive Intelligence Management Course 16, which commenced in February 2023.

The course included 89 participants from 35 agencies across Nigeria and four other African countries—Niger, The Gambia, Rwanda, and Chad.

Despite the loss of three participants during the period, 86 individuals successfully graduated on Saturday.
