The wife of the Ooni of Ife, Prophetess Shilekunola Naomi, who is marking her birthday today, has been showered with encomiums by her husband’s elder sisters.

The Ooni’s sisters shared photos of the Queen on her Instagram page with the caption:

“Happy birthday to queen Naomi Shilekunola Ogunwusi wishing you many happy returns, may God in his infinite mercy continue to bless and protect you today and always age with grace.”

Prophetess Silekunola M. Naomi Ogunwusi and the Ooni of Ife welcomed a baby boy in November 2020, two years after their marriage.

Recall that the beautiful Queen had shared how societal pressure made the journey to motherhood difficult for her.

Naomi spoke of the ‘difficult’ experience she had prior to conception during her recent feature on TVC’s ‘Your View.’

Making reference to her story, the queen said conception becomes tougher for women when they are constantly reminded of their fertility struggles.

“It was like I was supposed to start popping babies almost immediately. The whole world was just looking at me,” Naomi said.

“Thank God for a supportive husband, he would always tell me not to bother. think it was something I was challenged with from the first day I got married.”
