Adeyinka Alaseyori, the young gospel artiste whose hit song ‘Oniduro Mi’ was condemned by Tope Alabi in a viral video, has reacted to the drama in a live broadcast on social media.

In the video, the embattled evangelist was heard stating emphatically in Yoruba dialect that the God she served is more than an ‘Oniduro mi’ (which translates to my guarantor) to her.

Alabi went further to downplay the relevance of the song, which many strongly believe exalts God as a guarantor and One who never forsakes His own.

Her criticism elicited negative reactions from music lovers with the gospel singer trending on social media platforms.

Nollywood actress, Anita Joseph, wrote “But there’s nothing wrong with this line anyway. The song is blown, the thing don enter gospel musicians’ side. Open it season. Sending them LOVE and LIGHT kpichicom Awa’ m.”

A singer, Slimcase, had opined that Tope Alabi could have handled the issue better by having a private discussion with Alaseyori.

Alaseyori was captured on a live Instagram broadcast repeatedly singing the popular hit song ‘Oniduro’.

While she carefully avoided making a direct comment on Tope Alabi’s scathing statement, Alaseyori praised the singer’s husband for being a gentleman.

The Nation reported that she appreciated her fan base which cuts across over 5,000 fans on Instagram and over 190,000 followers on Facebook.

According to Aladeyori, she has been cautioned not to comment on the controversy.

Her live broadcast also featured prominent celebrities Kate Henshaw, Small Doctor, Ijebu, Klever Jay and other Nollywood entertainers joined the live broadcast.

Alaseyori, who recently celebrated her birthday, also announced that she would be holding a birthday praise session on Tuesday.
