Peter Okoye has said that his fellow singers, Omah Lay and Tems, will soon be on their way from Uganda where they were arrested.

Okoye had earlier reached out to the Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the chairman of Nigerians In Diaspora Commission, NIDCOM, over their arrest.

He tweeted: Just got off the phone with @abikedabiri and she said they doing everything possible to get it all sorted! Pls, let’s all be calm. Thank you very much, madam!”

In response, the NIDCOM boss said, Thanks Peter. The Minister, @GeoffreyOnyeama, has also been on the matter. Our mission in Uganda has also taken it up and I just had a conversation with the lawyer representing them.”

Giving an update on the case, Tweeted: “Good morning guys! Just to inform you all that there’s huge progress now and @Omah_Lay and #Tems will be on their way back home soon!

“Pls let’s all be calm! Thanks.”
