Blessing Oborududu has made history by becoming the first Nigerian wrestler to win a medal in the history of the Olympic Games.

The strong female wrestler won a silver medal on Tuesday afternoon after losing 4-1 to Tamyra Mensah-Stock of the United States in the Women’s freestyle 68kg.

Oborududu becomes Nigeria’s second medalist at the ongoing Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in Japan after Ese Brume won a bronze medal in the women’s long jump on Tuesday morning.
