Super Falcons of Nigeria put on a dominant display to defeat Ethiopia 5-1 on aggregate in the second round of the CAF Women’s Olympic qualifiers, advancing to the next round with ease.

The two teams played out a 1-1 draw at the first leg in Addis Ababa, on Wednesday, October 25.

In today’s match that ended in a convincing 4-nil win, Atletico Madrid’s Rasheedat Ajibade stole the spotlight with a brace, while Uchenna Kanu, Asisat Oshoala, and Michelle Alozie also got on the scoresheet for the Super Falcons.

Kanu opened the scoring just before halftime with a well-taken finish after a swift counter-attack, and Ajibade doubled the lead early in the second half with a header from Oshoala’s cross.

Oshoala added her own name to the scoresheet in the 68th minute with a powerful header, before setting up Ajibade for her second goal just four minutes later.

Despite Alozie’s near miss in the 85th minute, the Super Falcons held on for a comfortable victory to seal their place in the next round.
