Nigerian singer, Olamide has released a new collaborative track titled ‘99’, featuring Asake, Seyi Vibez, and John, marking a rare convergence of distinct musical styles from four of Nigeria’s prominent acts.

The song was made available across major streaming platforms on Monday.

Despite their varied artistic approaches, the artists achieve a seamless blend on the track — Asake’s Afro-fusion energy, Seyi Vibez’s sharp lyricism, and John’s smooth vocals complementing Olamide’s signature punchlines.

“To the bank o/ You know say money money make I dance o/ I am feeling funky/ Because I got a couple of milli lowkey/ Money make the world go round/ E no do me I want more/ E lo lomaje/ Padi mi ki lonso/ Meji Meji/ I am going to party like 99/ Need all my girls to get high tonight,” they sing in the energetic hook.

The track ‘99’ is believed to be part of Olamide’s upcoming 11th studio album, building anticipation for what may be another defining project in his illustrious career.

This also marks the first collaboration between Olamide and Asake since the latter’s departure from YBNL, the record label founded by Olamide in 2012. Asake recently launched his own imprint, Giran Republic, signaling a new chapter in his musical journey.

Olamide, often hailed as one of Nigeria’s most influential rappers, has been instrumental in shaping the careers of several successful artists. Under his YBNL Nation label, he has nurtured stars like Lil Kesh, Adekunle Gold, Fireboy DML, and Chinko Ekun.

The release of ‘99’ not only underscores Olamide’s enduring influence in the industry but also signals a promising direction for his forthcoming album.
