Okonjo-Iweala, Mo Abudu make Forbes’ 2023 power list
The prestigious Forbes list of the world’s most powerful women for 2023 was unveiled on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.
This year’s list features 100 exceptional women who have made significant contributions in various fields, including business, media, politics, entertainment, and technology. The list was compiled using four main criteria: spheres of influence, money, media, and impact.
Among the notable figures on the list is Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the Director-General of the World Trade Organization.
Okonjo-Iweala and MO Abudu are the two Nigerians on the list
Dr Ngozi has served as Nigeria’s first female Finance Minister and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, successfully implementing various economic reforms that helped the country weather the 2008 financial crisis.
