Okada rider breaks down in tears, threatens suicide after bike was stolen at a Lagos canteen [Video]
A viral video has emerged on the internet of a commercial motorcycle rider weeping and threatening to kill himself over his stolen bike.
The incident was said to have happened in Egbeda area of Lagos on Friday.
It was gathered that the motorcycle does not belong to the man whose identity could not be ascertained yet, fueling suggestions that he may have gotten the bike on hire purchase.
According to an Instagram user, Emelda Ufot, who shared the video, the man had parked the motorcycle outside a canteen where he went to eat, he came out of the canteen and discovered his source of livelihood has been stolen from where he parked it.

She wrote:
“This man has been here for two hours crying and saying he wants to die just because he parked his bike outside a canteen to eat and before he was done eating, petty thieves stole it and tolled it away.
“He came out to find nothing and he said he wants to be killed by a bus because his boss who owns the bike won’t let him live if he doesn’t provide it.”
In the footage the man was seen rolling on the floor and weeping uncontrollably as he threatens he won’t leave the scene because the owner of the motorcycle would kill him.
Meanwhile some kindhearted Nigerians who were moved by the plight of the okada rider have indicated interest in helping him by raising funds for him to buy a new motorcycle.
