Ogun security outfit arrests notorious Kidnap kingpin

The Ogun State Community, Social Orientation and Safety Corps’ operatives have arrested a suspected notorious kidnap kingpin.

The kidnap kingpin, Bature Ibrahim, was arrested in the Oke-Ogun axis of the state on Saturday.

Ibrahim was reported to have been notorious in creating security unrest along Olorunda-Imala in the Abeokuta-North local government area of the state.

Soji Ganzallo, the Commander of the Corps , Commander disclosed this in a statement issued by the Director of Information of the Corps, Moruf Yusuf on Sunday in Abeokuta.

He said, “Operatives of the Corps were instructed to secure the identified black spots across the state and to also revisit the records of suspected kidnappers to effect their arrests.

“Bature Ibrahim was arrested on Saturday 15th January, 2022 at 06:05hrs along Olorunda-Imala road on his attempt to escape through Olorunda town after he heard that his name has been mentioned by his counterparts who are in the custody of the Nigeria Police Anti Kidnapping Department, State Headquarter, Eleweran, Ogun State.

“The suspect and the items found on him were clothes and naira cash had been handed over to the Nigeria Police Anti Kidnapping Department same day at 08:32 hour for further investigation and likely prosecution.”
