Ogun police order removal of abandoned vehicles statewide

The Ogun State Police Command has issued a directive urging individuals who have lost vehicles or motorcycles to theft or have abandoned such vehicles within the city to report to the Ilese-Ijebu Division for identification and claim within a 14-day period.

According to the statement by the Police Spokesperson, Omolola Odutola the vehicles and motorcycles in question, including a Mazda car MPV LX (with registration Epe 469DH), an unregistered Ford Space Wagon, two tricycles (AYE 104 and DGB 062 VY), and four Bajaj motorcycles with the numbers TTN 436WH, AYE 104 WP, GBE 189 VL, and TTD 288 VY.

Additionally, two unregistered Boxer motorcycles and one unregistered Jincheng motorcycle were listed.

Odutola stated, “The public, especially those who lost their vehicles/motorcycles to theft or abandoned around the city, are advised to report at Ilese-Ijebu Division for identification and claim within 14 days.”

Abandoned vehicles not only pose safety risks but also contribute to the degradation of the communities where they are located.
