A traditional ruler in Ogun State has weighed in on the controversy surrounding social media personality, Mandy Kiss, and her proposed Guinness World Record attempt.

The Eselu of Iselu Kingdom, Yewa North Local Government Area, Oba Akintunde Akinyemi, has written an open letter to the Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, calling for her immediate arrest.

The monarch’s intervention follows Mandy Kiss’s recent announcement on social media, where she posted a promotional flier for what she described as an attempt to set a new world record — “the highest number of bed partners in 24 hours.”

The proposed event, according to the flier, is scheduled to take place in Ikorodu, Lagos, on October 30, 2025, and is said to involve 100 men.

However, the Guinness World Records organization has officially disassociated itself from the attempt, stating that it neither monitors nor recognizes records of such nature. Despite the global body’s disclaimer, Mandy Kiss has maintained her intention to proceed with the event.

In his letter, Oba Akinyemi described her plans as “shameful” and “disgraceful,” expressing deep concern over the moral implications and public image it casts on her family, the states of Ogun and Lagos, and Nigeria as a whole.

“Can she even survive such an act? If she dies in the process, it is the police who will start arresting young men in Ikorodu,” the monarch warned.

Further expressing his dismay, the traditional ruler questioned Mandy Kiss’s mental stability, suggesting she might be under the influence of drugs.

He called on Governor Sanwo-Olu to involve the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency to conduct a drug test and recommended that she be placed in a rehabilitation facility in Ogun State.

“Her nonsense shows she may be under the influence of drugs. The best step is to arrest her and return her to her parents for rehabilitation,” Oba Akinyemi wrote.

The monarch’s letter has intensified public discourse around the role of digital influencers and the boundaries of social media content in Nigeria.
