Oba of Benin’s fifth wife delivers quadruplet

Princess (Oloi) Esosa, the fifth wife of the royal monarch of Benin kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II, has welcomed a set of quadruplets.

The quadruplets are three males and a female.

WuzupNigeria has reported that the monarch had, in May 2020, welcome his first infant Prince after he ascended the throne of his ancestors as the 40th Oba of Benin from her Royal Highness, Iyayota Ewuare.

An elated Oba Ewuare II made the announcement at 4:57 pm in his palace on Friday in Benin City, amidst jubilation by guests.

The traditional ruler paid tribute to God and his ancestors for the blessing.

The presiding priest of the oldest West African Church, Holy Aruosa Church, Ohen-Osa Igbinoghodua Edebiri, offered prayer to God for wisdom and guidance for the newborns.

The brief ceremony coincided with the visit of the national executives of the Immaculate Conception College, Benin City, which is the alma-mater of the monarch.
