The National Youth Service Corps has rejoiced with a corps member, Ramatu Yunusa, who gave birth to a baby boy shortly after registering as a member of the 2021 Batch ‘B’ Stream II service corps in Bayelsa State.
A statement issued by the agency’s Director of Press and Public Relations, Adenike Adeyemi, said that the NYSC Director-General, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim visited the Bayelsa State Referral Hospital, Kaiama, where he expressed delight at the safe birth of the baby.
Ibrahim announced that the NYSC would “settle the medical bills incurred by the PCM and her baby.”
