NURTW Elders give national body seven days to withdraw MC Oluomo’s suspension
The Lagos State Council Group of Elders of the National Union of Road Transport Workers has written the national body to withdraw the suspension letter of the union’s Lagos State Council Chairman, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo within seven days.
In a letter dated March 14 jointly signed by the group leaders, Mr Samuel Jonah, Alhaji Alao Adewuyi, Alhaji Alamu Otegbeye, Mrs Bola Lemboye and Comrade Stephen Fatusi, the elders asked the NURTW national body to immediately revoke the suspension letter of MC Oluomo.
They described MC Oluomo’s suspension as unwarranted.
The group also enjoined the national body to withdraw the appointment letter to Alhaji Jubril Abiola as Chairman of Tricycle Owners and Operators Association of Nigeria in Lagos State.
According to them, the action is unconstitutional, adding that there can’t be two chairmen in a state.
“We expect the withdrawal of the two letters within seven days to enable us conclude the settlement of the crisis once and for all,” the group said.
