NTA to show AFCON 2023 matches

The National Television Authority has successfully obtained the exclusive broadcasting rights for the highly anticipated 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

This groundbreaking deal ensures that every moment of the continental football showcase will be broadcast exclusively on NTA.

The announcement marks a departure from the norm, as Multichoice, the proprietors of DSTV and Super Sports, failed to secure the rights for the prestigious football event, a deviation from their past acquisitions.

According to an official statement from NTA on Wednesday, “NTA signs memorandum of understanding with Afro sports for transmission of 52 matches of Africa cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.”

Widely recognized as Africa’s premier international men’s association football competition, the Africa Cup of Nations is scheduled to commence on Saturday, January 13, 2024, and conclude on Sunday, February 11, 2024, in the football-centric nation of Cote d’Ivoire.
