NSCDC deploys 1,945 officers for Eid-el-Fitr security in Niger

The Niger State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has deployed 1,945 personnel to ensure a peaceful Eid-el-Fitr celebration across the state.

This was announced in a statement by the NSCDC spokesperson, DSC Abubakar Rabiu Muti, on Thursday in Minna.

According to the statement, the officers will work to safeguard lives, property, and critical national assets while ensuring that the celebration is free of security threats.

The State Commandant, Adamu Abdullahi Kambra, directed Area Commanders and Divisional Officers to closely monitor security operations and maintain order.

“Kambra stated that the deployment of 1,945 personnel is to ensure adequate security coverage throughout the state. The NSCDC will also collaborate with other security agencies to guarantee a safe and smooth celebration,” Muti said.

He further urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to security agencies.

“The NSCDC Niger State Command is committed to providing top-notch security services during Eid-el-Fitr. Commandant Kambra appreciates the support of the NSCDC Commandant General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, and the Governor of Niger State, Hon. Mohammed Umaru Bago, for their continued assistance to the Corps,” the statement added.

Commandant Kambra expressed confidence that the security measures in place would ensure a safe and enjoyable celebration for all residents. He wished all Nigerlites a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Fitr.
