Three men have been arrested by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps FCT Command for allegedly stealing communication cables belonging to the government.

The NSCDC FCT Command said in a statement on Sunday that the suspects pretended to be engineers working on cable projects, but intelligence reports exposed them.

The FCT Commandant, Olusola Odumosu, condemned the FCT’s vandalism and destruction of infrastructure and promised to intensify the fight against criminals and vandals.

He said that the suspects would be prosecuted according to the law and warned others to stay away from Abuja.
